GFX
I bought my second and current urq in July 1999.
It is a 1987 alpine white wr type with the body work up to mb spec. Since I bought the car
I have fitted a leather interior and a car alarm that is nearly more impresive than the car itself.

This includes a microwave sensor and voice so as to warn people if they get a bit too close that is fitted with an alarm.
It also has a pager system that can be set up to alert me if the car is knocked or if the alarm goes off.
this is an old type pager so it can work upto a mile rather than the current type which will only go upto approx. 500m!

My first 2 cars a 1litre Mini and a ur quattro!!
The car is also fitted with a turbo timmer that can tell how hard you have been driving and therefore how long to let the engine run to let the oil cool down! As it is linked into the digital dash it can also give me a 0-100km and a few other things like top speed and standing distance times.
The digital dash is the standard green one for this type of car with the voice still active. It displays road speed, engine speed, boost, fuel level and the time. The readouts can be changed from imperial to metric. The trip computer can display such things like; average speed, MPG, AVG MPG, elapsed time and how many miles of petrol you have left.
As for the voice it lets you know everything from dodgy brakes to low water in the windscreen bottle.
I have also discoverd that when it gets realy low on petrol it will not let you drive the car over 3000 revs!

AS GFX has now been in "dry dock" for over a year, I am now working on the car at nights in order to get MOT on it for some history.
I will not be leaving it into a dealers for a service due to the quality of work carried out the last time.
ALL work will be carried out by me from now on.

At first look the car only sems to need a few things for MOT. These include the brakes needing a bit of use, a service and a track rod end for the rear.

Nice spot of wiring!
Yet another reson why all work will be carried out by myself.
Th alarm has now been taken out and will be reinstalled to a higher and more secure standard.
I will post pics when ever I get round to this.
