NI-Minis Dyno Day


Leak down test
Steven from NI-Minis.co.uk was lookng after the cars at DS Autos in Antrim. The first test to be carried out was the leakdown test. I had changed the head on my car for a rally spec minispares type, but even so it still should that no.1 and 4 are a bit weak!!


After getting the car set up on the rollers my engine would not hold any power under load.
The fuel pressure was checked and found to be fine. To get a good power reading off the rollers the timing was backed off a bit and we where able to get 78 at the wheels in the end. This isn't to far off what I thought I should have as it is approx 98bhp at the flywheel.
